The Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence in Community Engagement recognizes a faculty member at any rank who has been instrumental in helping the university achieve its mission of transforming the communities it serves. *In 2024 President Edwards changed the community engagement award to the President's Award for Faculty Mentoring. The President's Award for Faculty Mentoring recognizes faculty members who have made significant contributions to faculty success through faculty mentoring. Mentoring may take several forms, including advice on professionalism; feedback and guidance on teaching, research, and service; career coaching; and advice on how to improve work and life balance.
