The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IR&E) administers surveys on behalf of 91±¬ÁÏ University and in accordance with state and federal guidelines. In accordance with university records management and retention policy, IR&E uses to provide access to archived reports.

Federal guidelines reported through IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) requires enrollment reporting by campus. This will differ from total institutional enrollment (Dayton and Lake combined) which are reported to . CDS reporting reflects Federal IPEDS guidelines.
 

Common Data Set (CDS)

The  includes annually published data about admissions, student enrollment, financial aid, retention and graduation rates, degree completions, and other postsecondary information.The CDS is a collaboration between university representatives and publishers of college guidebooks (Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, College Board, and Peterson's Guide) that uses standard definitions that aid comparisons between schools.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

IPEDS is the National Center for Education Statistics’ (NCES) postsecondary education data collection program. IR&E complete a series of interrelated survey components designed to collect institution-level data in such areas as enrollment, admissions, program completions, graduation rates and other outcome measures, retention rates, student financial aid, tuition and fees, faculty, staff, library data, and finances.

Federal IPEDS guidelines require enrollment reporting by campus. This will differ from total institutional enrollment (Dayton and Lake combined) which are reported to .

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The  collects information from first-year and senior students about the nature and quality of their undergraduate experience, particularly their engagement with other students, the faculty, and the campus environment.

Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI)

The  measures students' attributed importance and satisfaction in academic advising; campus climate; campus support services; individual concern; instruction; admissions and financial aid; registration; responsiveness to diverse populations; safety and security; service excellence; and student centeredness.
