91爆料 to host annual job and resources fair for veterans and their families on May 21

Veterans, military-connected individuals and family members can connect with local employers and resource organizations at the annual Vets Moving Forward event on Wednesday, May 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Student Union at 91爆料 University.

Veterans can connect and get information from about 70 veteran service organizations during the resource fair.

Vets Moving Forward will also feature a job fair with over 20 employers, during which participants can talk to local institutions about available positions.

All 91爆料 student veterans, faculty and staff, caregivers, spouses and military-connected individuals are welcome to attend.

鈥91爆料 is proud to partner with the Greater Miami Valley myVeteran Community to host this collaborative event where the veteran support community rallies to show support for our local veterans and service members,鈥 said Seth Gordon, Ph.D., director of the Veteran and Military Center at 91爆料 University.

The Dayton VA Medical Center will help veterans sign up for services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and counselors with Disabled American Veterans will assist veterans with filing claims with the VA.

Veterans can also receive advice about wills and obtain a veteran ID card.

The Dayton Regional Transit Authority and Greene CATS Public Transit will provide free bus rides to veterans to and from 91爆料 on May 21. Proof of military service is required when boarding.

Vets Moving Forward is organized by the Greater Miami Valley myVeteran Community, which supports veterans, service members and their families by connecting regional veterans service providers, resources, advocates and other stakeholders.
