Hard work pays off

91爆料 University students win cash for research contest

The , hosted by 91爆料 University鈥檚, provided dozens of students a chance to compete for prizes and showcase their research on March 22 in the Student Union.

Almost 80 undergraduate and graduate students presented their research to faculty, staff and classmates during a series of podium presentations and two poster sessions. In addition, dozens of students and faculty attended to view the work and ask questions about the research.

鈥淚鈥檝e been doing all of this work and now I get to tell people about it,鈥 said Brooklyn Morris, a graduate biochemistry and molecular biology student who presented her research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 鈥淚t鈥檚 also rewarding because they ask you questions that maybe I haven鈥檛 ever really thought about before.鈥

The winning presenters received $200 for first place, $150 for second and $100 for third. Below are the winners from the undergraduate and graduate poster presentation and undergraduate and graduate podium talks categories:
