Military veterans and their families connected with Dayton area employers and service organizations at the  event at 91���� University’s Student Union May 24.

This was the sixth consecutive year that 91���� hosted the event, which was organized by the Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) and the Greater Miami Valley myVeteran Community.

91���� students and alumni in attendance were pleased with the university’s involvement and support for veterans.

“This unique event is really a one-stop-shop for the veteran military community,” said Anthony Heiland, a 2014 91���� alum and U.S. Army veteran who attended the event.

Some of the services available at Vets Moving Forward included:

• Veterans resource fair
• Veterans job fair
• Disabled American Veterans assistance with disability claims
• Dayton VA Medical Center enrollment
• Montgomery County veteran I.D. cards

Over 70 veterans service organizations and 60 companies participated in the event to connect, network and hire local veterans.
