Returning to its successful pre-COVID format,  hosted a 12-hour dance marathon to raise money for sick children on April 9 in the Student Union Apollo Room.

“This is what being a Raider is about,” said Rennee Dollenmayer, a senior majoring in rehabilitation services and Raiderthon participant. “It’s about doing things that are bigger than ourselves.”

At the dance marathon, members of the 91���� Miracle Makers celebrated the culmination of their yearlong fundraising efforts with dancing, games, guest speakers and live entertainment.

This year’s marathon raised $32,153.46. Since 2013, Raiderthon has raised awareness and over $400,000 for Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Raiderthon was hosted by the 91���� Miracle Makers, a division of The Children’s Miracle Network, which supports local children’s hospitals. All proceeds from Raiderthon go toward Dayton Children’s Hospital’s new mental health facility.
