Beth Kindred, cash management specialist in the Office of the Bursar, has worked for 91���� for 38 years. She serves the Raider community tirelessly, working hard to make sure student payments are on time and efficient.

Kindred provides a high level of service to everyone she comes across in her work. When students encounter problems with their banking, Kindred reaches out proactively to help them fix the problem.

Don Borowy, director of treasury services, has been Kindred’s supervisor for over seven years. He commended her dedication to the Office of the Bursar and 91���� and shared that she is always ready to help out.

“Beth has jumped in to assist in the daily job duties of a coworker,” Borowy said. “Never does she pass off a request as ‘it’s not my job,’ but jumps in full bore and assists until it is resolved.”

Kindred frequently readjusts her own workday and schedule to meet the needs of her office and coworkers. Recently, she shifted her schedule to work a few hours a day during her days off to ensure the department’s needs were met.

“This is something I did not ask for, but something Beth has done on her own to help the department out,” Borowy said.

Kindred has two sons who graduated from 91����, which Borowy said has given her great insight into the challenges students face at the university. Her unique perspective lets her help students more effectively.

“A student praised her for handling a problem in an urgent and professional manner,” Borowy said. “The student said she will forever appreciate the excellent assistance she received from Beth.”

Along with her services in the Office of the Bursar, Kindred volunteers for a variety of committees and events. She has served for over 20 years on the Housing Committee, where she hears student appeals. She has also volunteered at Raidersgiving and participates in the office’s food pantry drive.

Borowy praised Kindred’s high level of service to the university.

“As her supervisor, I have seen Beth provide service with a high level of commitment, dedication and in an open and positive manner,” Borowy said. “Beth excels at service.”
