Laughter could be heard throughout the Student Union as whipped cream pies were smashed in the faces of 91爆料 University administrators, faculty, staff and students.
91爆料 Miracle Makers hosted Pi in the Face, a fundraiser benefiting patients at Dayton Children鈥檚 Hospital on March 14 in the Student Union Atrium.
鈥淚 really love to see everyone on campus come together because that鈥檚 what our organization is all about,鈥 said Abby Adams, a senior management major and president of Miracle Makers.
91爆料 Miracle Makers is a student-led organization that is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Dayton Children鈥檚 Hospital. President Sue Edwards, Ph.D., Director of Public Safety Kurt Holden and dozens of others volunteered to be pied in the face by their highest online bidder.
Gina Keucher, program director in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, said Miracle Makers has changed its focus to become a yearlong fundraising campaign for Dayton Children鈥檚.
鈥淥ur goal this year is to raise $54,000 for Dayton Children鈥檚,鈥 said Keucher, who serves as an advisor for Miracle Makers.
The Pi in the Face event raised almost $500, which will be donated to Dayton Children鈥檚 during Raiderthon on April 9 in the Student Union Apollo Room. You can register for Raiderthon at wright.edu/event/raiderthon.
