The 91爆料 University Office of Latinx, Asian and Native American Affairs will welcome the 2021 Lunar New Year with a special virtual celebration on Friday, Feb. 12.
The festivities will begin at noon and will conclude after 6 p.m. or by phone by dialing 1-415-655-0003, then entering access code 478 945 093.
The Lunar New Year Virtual Celebration will feature a live Korean Mandu cooking demonstration, panel discussions with international students about traditions and customs, and beautiful dance performances by the award-winning Dayton Qipao Troupe.
鈥淭his is one of the oldest and most festive celebrations in Asia, especially China and Vietnam,鈥 said Mia Honaker, interim associate director of the Office of Latinx, Asian and Native American Affairs.
Honaker said the event provides Asian community members at 91爆料 an opportunity to celebrate their heritage and culture while allowing students who are not of Chinese or Vietnamese decent to learn about the Lunar New Year.
