The 91爆料 University Chamber String Orchestra performed publicly for the first time this academic year during a special performance on Oct. 6 in the Student Union Atrium.
The open space of the Student Union Atrium allowed performers and audience members to be physically distanced while enjoying the orchestra鈥檚 performance.
鈥淲e have not performed in eight months,鈥 said Jackson Leung, professor of music. 鈥淭o be able to make music together is one of the most important things that musicians do.鈥
The performance featured over a dozen musicians with Leung serving as conductor.
鈥淚t鈥檚 nice to be in the Atrium, and I wasn鈥檛 expecting that many people,鈥 said Gabriella Erbacher, a senior music performance major who participated in the concert.
