Equipped with sanitizing liquid, paintbrushes, power washers and tractors, seven buildings and grounds crew members at the have been keeping the campus safe and clean.

Seven facilities employees have been tasked with sanitizing, painting, power washing, maintaining equipment, cleaning walking trails and the beach, and mowing on the 40-acre Lake Campus.

“Everyone here is pretty much a jack-of-all-trades,” said Ed Morris, a supervisor in Facilities Operations.

Morris said that his staff understands the important role they have during the COVID-19 pandemic and they’re always up to the task. Access to the Dayton and Lake campuses is limited to essential personnel and summer classes are being offered remotely.

“They take a lot of pride in their work and they do it well,” said Morris.

Crews have focused on cleaning high-traffic areas and keeping essential personnel who continue to work on campus safe.
